Internships at Glance

The Kravis Leadership Institute encourages and supports summer internships for CMC students. The focus of the KLI summer internship program is to provide a meaningful experience in an organization that provides CMC students with opportunities to learn and develop personal leadership skills and develop an increased appreciation for social responsibility. KLI internships are designed to enable students to work for social service organizations and combine their work experience with the academic requirement of the internship course. Social Sector Internship Program

The Social Sector Internship program is open to CMC students who are interested in domestic internships with social service organizations. Applications begin in the spring.  

International Internship Program

CMC sophomores and juniors who wish to pursue transformative international internships that enhances cross-cultural understanding of leadership in the public (for-profit), governmental, or not-for-profit (social) sectors may apply .      

Partnered Internship Program

The Kravis Leadership Institute has partnered with several high impact nonprofit organizations to create summer internships for CMC students.  

How can I apply?


Partnered Internship Program Deadline: March 3, 2021 and March 10, 2021.

Social Sector and International Internship Programs Due: TBD

The program is open to CMC students with preference given to students enrolled in the Leadership Studies Sequence and/or affiliated with KLI.

Awards of up to $6,000 are available to assist with travel and living expenses associated with the internship.

These awards are based on academic record, relevant activities outside of the classroom, financial aid, letters of recommendation, and the substantive merit of the internship proposal.
