Courtney Chan ’17
Research Assistant, Kravis Leadership Institute
Since 2013, Courtney Chan has been actively engaged with the Kravis Leadership Institute as a research assistant, conference presenter, and Sophomore Leadership Experience (SLE) facilitator. Courtney is currently continuing her research pursuits with Dr. Sherylle Tan, primarily through KLI’s Undergraduate Leadership Education (ULE) study. She is in the progress of co-authoring a publication that explores the role sense of belonging plays in the relationship between leadership experiences and leadership self-efficacy.
Courtney graduated from CMC in 2017 with a BA in Psychology. Her thesis is titled “Healing from Racism with Compassion Meditation: Effects of Coping on Mental Health.” She aims to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology, and improve mental health services for underserved populations in the future.
In her free time, Courtney likes to read, write, and travel.
