Matt Horvitz ’08

Partner, Aspen Grove Capital

Originally an Ohio native, Matt Horvitz graduated Claremont McKenna in 2008 as an Econ-Accounting and Government Double Major. During his time at CMC, Matt also completed the Kravis Sequence in Leadership and became increasingly involved with KLI.

Upon graduation, Matt moved to Denver, Colorado and pursued a career in Private Equity and Transactional Services where he worked with companies across industry verticals and stages.

Matt relocated to Vail, Colorado in 2012 to continue his career in finance. He is currently Partner at Aspen Grove Capital, a $1.9BN family office for five ultra-high net worth families and Fortune 500 executives. Matt is responsible for overseeing, sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring all real asset, private equity, and venture capital investments.

Along with his passion for investing, Matt enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and the plethora of other outdoor activities that the Vail Valley offers. Matt resides in Vail with his wife, Elizabeth, and dog.
