Managing Partner, Artemis Lane Partners LLC

Sam Kaplan is currently a managing partner at Artemis Lane Partners LLC, a private equity firm that specializes in progressing industrial tech and streamlining businesses that are close to or are experiencing bankruptcy. Recently acquired by Artemis Lane the famous Lee’s Chicken recipe, the firm plans to expand the brand with increased data collection and a marketing system that will be much more fit for fast casual eateries in the 2020’s.

Sam was an analyst in the New York Lazard restructuring group where he focuses on advising stressed and distressed companies through bankruptcy situations and strategic liability management opportunities. After finishing his two year program at Lazard, Sam joined the Apollo private equity group based out of New York in the summer of 2017.

In addition to his role as a Kravis Fellow, Sam serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Harlem Baseball Hitting Academy, a not-for-profit organization that aims to help underprivileged youth in New York City gain college educations through baseball scholarships.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College, where he was awarded Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
