Bret W. Jorgensen ’81 P’18 P’21

Mr. Jorgensen has 25 years of leadership experience in rapid growth, technology enabled health services and a proven track record in fundraising, execution and value creation. He is Chairman & CEO of MDVIP, the nations largest network of consumer-funded personalized primary care physicians. He returned to lead MDVIP in 2014 after the repurchase of the company with Summit Partners from P&G.  He was previously CEO of MDVIP until early 2010, when he led the successful sale of the company to P&G. Prior to MDVIP, he was CEO of InSight Health, a $300 million diagnostic imaging business with 2,400 employees. He left after completing a financial restructuring in 2007. Prior to that Mr. Jorgensen Co-Founded TheraTx a successful, publicly traded diversified healthcare organization, in 1989. He was a Director and as President of TheraTx Health Services, which included five companies and 5,000 employees.  He left in 1997, shortly after TheraTx was sold to Kindred for $550 million. TheraTx was recognized as the 2nd fastest growing public company by Inc. magazine in 1995. In 1995 Mr. Jorgensen received the “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award. He received his Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude in Economics from CMC in 1981.

Mr. Jorgensen is also Chairman of Crossover Health, which provides health services to large self-insured employers. He has served as a Board Director of numerous public and private companies, primarily in the healthcare field, as well as on the board of several non-profits. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Young Presidents’ Organization of San Diego.

Mr. Jorgensen is married and has two children. He is an avid helicopter skier and snowboarder, who also enjoys surfing, diving, running, triathlons and other outdoor activities.  He and his family enjoy adventure travel.
